Alliance of Australasian Performing Arts Benevolent Funds

Alliance of Australasian Performing Arts Benevolent Funds

Formed in 2020, the Alliance of Australasian Performing Arts Benevolent Funds (AAPABF) represents

the region’s leading arts industry charities, funds and trusts. The purpose of the Alliance is to act as

an overarching advocacy group for the six member Benevolent Funds at both a national and international level.

Each individual member Fund continues to remain responsible over its own governance, fundraising, and provision of support to local performing arts workers, but the Alliance allows the Funds to utilise a shared voice for advocacy.

The six members of the AAPABF are:

  • Actors Benevolent Fund of New South Wales
  • Actors & Entertainers’ Benevolent Fund of Queensland
  • Artist Relief Fund WA
  • New Zealand Actors Benevolent Fund
  • Performers Support Fund of South Australia
  • Victorian Actors Benevolent Trust

In announcing the formation of the AAPABF, the Alliance is thrilled to welcome Cate Blanchett AC as its inaugural patron. Cate’s generosity, insight and industry knowledge will be instrumental to the ongoing success of the AAPABF and the Alliance looks forward to working closely with Cate to highlight industry struggles and to continue to ensure Australia’s and New Zealand’s performing arts workers are supported in times of need.
